Jack also produces market mapping, compensation surveys, and broader research in the space. Jack holds a History and Politics degree from the University of Warwick and an MA in Early Modern History from King's College London.

Peter is a Principal leading the Structured Products and Risk Management practices in New York. After trading Agency MBS at Freddie Mac, Peter transitioned his career into recruiting specializing in quantitative and analytically oriented roles in mortgage, consumer, and corporate backed securities and risk management at Analytic Recruiting and Options Group. Peter believes that developing meaningful relationships combined with a deep understanding of the industry are the drivers to creating successful placements. Peter is a graduate of Georgetown University, where in addition to earning his degree in Economics, he was a team manager for the Hoyas Men’s Basketball team counting several NBA players, including Patrick Ewing, as his teammates.

Benji works alongside Darren and focuses on a variety of roles within hedge fund operations. Over the past 6 years he has become the trusted go-to person for most of London’s biggest hedge funds and has built a strong network within this space. Originally from Zimbabwe, Benji has a passion for sport and travel. He has visited 60 countries around the world.

Jeremy is part of the consulting team within Mondrian Alpha Dubai. Jeremy has been working in the Middle East since 2020 and during his time has worked with both regional and global investment focused firms helping them to grow their respective teams. Prior to Mondrian Alpha, Jeremy worked for a global recruitment business based in Dubai and holds a degree in Business Management with a major in Economics & Data Analysis from Nottingham Business School.

Craig leads the non-investment practice in the US and is based out of our New York office. He personally recruits in to accounting & finance across the alternatives space including hedge funds, public & private equity, real estate, pubic & private credit & proprietary trading firms. His main focus is on Senior Finance/Director level and CFO searches whilst overseeing a team that focuses on junior to mid-level mandates. He began his recruitment career at Goodman Masson where he developed their investment management desk. Craig holds a BA in Management and MSc in Marketing from the University of Leicester.

Yasmine joined Mondrian Alpha in 2013 and leads the asset raising and retention search practice. Having personally executed and originated searches in the space for a decade, she has cultivated meaningful relationships and market knowledge. Yasmine specialises and leads fundraising / sales mandates and has built a track record across all alternatives asset classes. Yasmine graduated Magna Cum Laude from Boston University’s School of Management with a BSBA in Finance. She is a native French speaker.

Sasha works alongside Matt Ellis as a Consultant within the technology team at Mondrian Alpha. His primary focus, involves sourcing high-quality candidates for engineering mandates, complemented by comprehensive and ongoing market analysis and intelligence gathering within the hedge fund technology sector. Prior to Mondrian Alpha, Sasha graduated with a First Class Honours from King’s College London and Sciences Po Paris and has an MSc in International Relations from the London School of Economics.

Matt is the longest-serving member of our business with responsibility for Technology searches within hedge funds, debt funds, and private equity. His role includes the delivery and execution of senior technology and transformation initiatives, across both New York and London. Matt has also been instrumental in guiding the growth and development of the business as a whole. Prior to joining Mondrian Alpha, Matt helped to grow a start-up recruitment business and trained at Huxley Associates.

He focuses on sourcing quality candidates from junior mandates up to CCO level. Matt joined Mondrian Alpha soon after graduating from the University of Leeds, where he read History.

Brandon joined Mondrian Alpha’s New York office in 2024 and leads our Trading Operations and Middle Office searches across the U.S. Brandon has eight years of Financial Services recruitment experience spanning across Hedge Funds, Private Equity, Private Debt, Prop Trading and Market Makers. She is fluent in Norwegian and has intermediate proficiency in Korean and German.

Darren’s rigour and diligence are well noted and has cemented his position as a market leader in alternatives search. Prior to this Darren was one of the most successful consultants at Goodman Masson and Huxley Associates during his tenures. Darren holds a First class Business Management degree from Newcastle.

Jonathan joined Mondrian Alpha to help lead their Middle East business based out of the DIFC. He will be looking after the firm’s regional coverage with clients across their respective asset classes. Jonathan has been based in the gulf since 2008 and during that time has helped both regional, global and sovereign entities grow their executive teams. His focus has been within the fundraising/sales and investment markets.

Emma leads the UK finance division for Mondrian Alpha and has recruited for Accountants within the Alternative Investment space for 6 years. She started her career in an Asset Management firm where she worked as an Investment Analyst. The team covers finance roles at all levels and have conducted comprehensive compensation surveys, thought leadership pieces, and built detailed market maps. Her expertise allows her to effectively partner with stakeholders, adding value to candidates and clients at every point of an engagement. Emma holds a degree in Maths with Economics from Exeter University and has completed the 'Business's moving to Net-Zero' course with Cambridge University.

James is our Chief Development Officer, he is responsible for the global strategic growth at Mondrian Alpha. He also leads the quantitative search practice, responsible for the origination and delivery of searches within hedge funds across London and New York. Over James’s long tenure in the front office quantitative market, he has developed lasting relationships which are supported by a fundamental understanding of the changing dynamics of the space. This experience is leveraged to identify opportunities and execute mandates on behalf of his clients. Prior to this James built up the front office business for a niche quantitative search firm. He trained at Huxley Associates and worked with Talal (Partner) at Capital Chase.

Silvan is a principal in Mondrian Alpha’s private debt practice, mainly covering mandates in the distressed credit/special situations space. His clients include a number of asset managers, investment firms and hedge funds. Silvan is focused on building a strong network of investment professionals and providing detailed research on the latest developments in the market. Before joining Mondrian Alpha, he headed the Swiss desk at Huxley. Silvan studied English Literature & Linguistics and History and speaks fluent German.

Talal is a founding partner at Mondrian Alpha responsible for Structured Solutions & Acquisitions. Talal helps clients make off market direct or indirect investments into alternatives businesses across a broad portfolio tailored to their client’s demands. His responsibilities include management of the investment and asset raising search functions. Prior to this, Talal led a similar practice at Capital Chase and trained at Huxley Associates. Oliver works alongside Emma in Mondrian Alpha’s finance practice. Oliver originates and executes accountancy searches across the entire alternative space including hedge funds, private equity, real estate, and credit. His main focus is on identifying candidates for positions such as Financial Controller, Finance Director, and CFO, and oversees a team that supports with junior to mid-level mandates. While working within Ernst & Young's Banking and Capital Markets Assurance division for four years, he gained a thorough understanding of accountancy and the financial services market, working on complex Financial Services clients and doing his ACA qualification.

Patrick is a part of Mondrian’s Credit practice. He joined our New York office in 2024 from Korn Ferry, where he most recently led both junior and senior-level Investment Banking mandates with additional experience across Private Equity and Corporate Development. In that role, Patrick helped to complete searches across all products and sectors and for platforms of all sizes. Previously, he led Korn Ferry’s Investment Banking research function in the US. Patrick graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Kenyon College where he was a captain of the Baseball team.

Peter is a founding partner of Mondrian Alpha. He was instrumental in building out both the asset raising and credit function. He now leads a team which specialises in direct lending, distressed, CLO, high yield and private equity. In addition to search, Peter also oversees the firm’s compensation surveys which are recognised across the alternatives space in London. Prior to Mondrian Alpha, Peter spent a number of years working within the banking practice at Huxley Associates. He supported clients from a corporate strategy perspective through building out internal teams to formulate and execute on strategies for change and growth. He holds a BA in Economics from the University of Manchester.

Ammar is a Consultant at Mondrian Alpha, focusing on the development of the firm’s HR search practice. Specialising in sourcing top-tier human capital, he supports the build-out, restructuring, and growth of human capital management teams across the buy-side. Managing mandates at all levels, he runs searches for a broad spectrum of HR roles. From senior leadership positions, including CPOs and HR Operations leads, to specialised roles such as Rewards specialists or HR Systems Analysts. Ammar also contributes to the firm’s compensation surveys, providing research and insights into the evolving structures and function of HR teams within the hedge fund industry. Ammar graduated with a bachelor’s degree in international development and economics from King’s College London.

Steve is a Principal running the US Credit practice. Prior to joining Mondrian Alpha, he spent 8 years at Bay Street Advisors running the credit practice where he focused on mandates across IG, HY, and Distressed credit, as well as Structured Credit searches in CLOs, MBS, and ABS. Overall, Steve has 15 years of search experience, all of which have been spent focusing on US Credit markets. He holds a BA in History and Government from Colby College.

Jasmine is our Operations Manager, she joined Mondrian Alpha in 2018. Jasmine is based in London but supervises all administrative activities across the London, New York and Dubai offices. Jasmine also leads our graphic design function and assists the Chief Development Officer with internal recruitment. Jasmine has completed an NVQ Level 2 in Business and Administration.
